T minus 3 days…
Until I move back into the city! Not that spending the past couple months in my parents’ house has been that bad, but I’m excited to get my social life back! Dinner last night involved as little cooking as possible and consisted entirely of things that we had in the house (no one had the energy to make a last minute trip to the grocery store. I made a green salad with Ezekial bread croutons:
These puppies are awesome. All I did was cube 2 slices of sesame Ezekial bread and drizzle them with about 2 teaspoons of olive oil and some garlic salt. Then I baked them in the toaster oven at 325 for about 20 minutes until they’re slightly browned and crunchy.
We had that alongside hotdogs.
I don’t love eating hotdogs because of the trans fats and nitrates, but hey, they do taste pretty good when you’re sitting outside eating on a lovely summer evening.
I followed dinner up with a farmers market peach.
So good, even though it kind of looks like a fuzzy butt.
Breakfast this morning is simple and quick (because I’m running late- eek!). Hard boiled egg and fruit:
I went for a run this morning to work off some of the moving week anxiety (I am a notoriously bad packer/mover- I tend to revert back to the maturity of a 3 year old and would rather sit in on the couch and watch my ‘toons than have to deal with the mess that is my boxed up life). I’m getting a sore throat, though, so I went easy on my body and am preparing to inhale this army of vitamin/herbal soldiers:
Anyone have any secret herbal remedies to fight off a cold?
