I went a little bit MIA over the weekend, I know.
Here’s the thing- I was operating on caffeine and dreams this weekend.
Because of a work event, I didn’t finish my work week until 12:15 Friday night.
Saturday night I went to a royal themed party and ended up whipping out a side ponytail by the end of the night.
I think we all know what kind of night that is.
And Sunday I helped my dear friend, Sara, celebrate her birthday with movies and mimosas.
(Incidentally, we watched Due Date- funnier than I expected it to be!)
It goes without saying that Monday morning came early.
Luckily, I was greeted with this at work this morning:
As an extension of Sara’s birthday, her boss made homemade cinnamon rolls.
Oh, sure, I’ll have one!
Nothing says Monday morning like a sugar coma.
Somehow around lunchtime I developed a bit of a sore throat.
I can’t imagine why.
I mean, clearly I’m well rested.
And cinnamon rolls are…healthy. Cinnamon is good for you, right?
Is this thing on?
Ah well, I’ve been pumping myself full of herbal supplements since I started feeling the tickle and made this my dinner:
Not the most exciting dinner, and I won’t lie- canned soups aren’t my favorite.
But it felt and tasted good.
Here’s hoping that with that and some serious shut eye I can kick this sore throat’s butt right out of town.
Hmm, that sounded strange, didn’t it?
I must be delirious from the herbal stuff.
