This Is What Happens When I Have No Internet

I admit it’s been a while since I’ve blogged.

Not only has it been a crazy whirlwind of a week with work, but I also have a houseguest (hi, Cat!).

And I have no internet.

I’m pretty sure it’s just a matter of going to Best Buy and purchasing the right cable, but I have been quite busy (see above).  Plus I am not the brightest when it comes to tech stuff.

I should probably buy one of those “Tech Stuff: For Dummies” books.

That exists, right?

Or, if any of you loyal readers would care to come to Chicago and show me how to be a techie, I will happily provide room and board.

And by room and board, I mean mac ‘n cheese.

With veggies?

Or do you prefer pancetta?

I do both.

(Those are both old pictures. The new ones are on my computer at home, which I am clearly not using at the moment.)

The downside to not having a chance to throw up any new blog posts is that I haven’t been able to recount the insane night that I had with Amy, Holly and Lo on Saturday night.

There are good pictures.  Of food AND people.

And funny stories to be told.

Once I get this interwebs situation figured out, I’ll enlighten you all.

In the meantime, I’d like to share a spam comment that I received today:

“Hello, you used to write magnificent, but the last few posts have been kinda boring¡K I miss your great writings. Past few posts are just a little out of track! come on!”

Jeez.  Those spammers are temperamental, aren’t they?

  1. Um, if you could do me a personal favor and get this whole internet thing straightened out, I’d really appreciate it. I miss you.
    And that’s no spam.

perhaps you should go down to Best Buy and start a #tinydinosaurarmbitchslapoff until someone agrees to come over and hook it up for you.

  2. omg was that for real spam or a blogger who was just jeal of our magical weekend night togeths and therefore sad b/c they haven’t been able to read all about that night? BTW not to be a creep but i linked back to that old post with your friend (cat) and you dancing and what not…I think the guy behind you in that black north face is a guy I went to college with! He works at RA sushi lolz….if this is not the guy, then just completely ignore this horrendously long comment and the fact I totally blog stalked you. Hope you figure out all that computer jazz and enjoy your weekend!

    xoxo
    Lolo

  3. I’d come to “help” but I can’t do any of that myself. When I started my blog, I didn’t even know how to insert a hyperlink. On a blog or in Word. I only learned that recently. And by recently, I mean last week.

Man, do I wish I were kidding about that.

  4. Ai, the spammers. I despise them so but most of mine seem to send me sweet compliments. I do get a fiesty one every now and then though.

I would pay someone to make me a techie. I feel so stupid when it comes to technology sometimes, it seriously makes me question my brain.
