So, it’s December 22, huh?
I guess I haven’t blogged in a while, but it’s only because I’ve been busy getting sh*t done. I actually managed to finish my Christmas shopping ahead of schedule this year AND wrap all my gifts WHILE watching Love Actually.
It’s not Christmas until I’ve watched Love Actually. And it’s the first time in probably 10 years that I haven’t left my wrapping until Christmas Eve.
My uncle Paul also volunteered his day today (while I’m at work) to come to my parents’ house and have a Scandinavian bake-off with my mom. I hear there may be a kringle appearance and I’m so excited about it I could pee.
Raise your hand if you’ve had kringle before. I hope you’re sitting at your computer with your hand in the air like a nerd right now, but if not, this is what it looks like:
And yes, that’s an acceptable breakfast food at Christmas. Or whenever. Just so we’re clear.
Oh and apparently there’s a butter shortage in Norway. This means there’s only one thing to do. We Norwegian Americans need to pick up the slack and make even MORE buttery cookies this year.
In other news, please send clothing in bigger sizes.
I watch Love Actually at LEAST 10 times a holiday season. And you know how I usually feel about romantic comedies…
I am watching Love Actually as we speak. I was waiting to watch it with someone, but that just seemed like a waste of time!
Oh yeah, Love Actually, so great… I mean… it’s not like I *still haven’t* seen it or anything, bc that would be a huge disappointment..*cough*
Love Actually! How have I forgotten it this year?! I’m watching it tonight.
P.S. – If you need someone to shop with after the holidays, I’m your girl. I’m definitely going to need bigger clothes, too.
Is it weird that I’ve never really related Love Actually with Christmas? Is it a Christmas movie? I think I’ve only ever watched it once.
It’s totally a Christmas movie! The opening scene is the one where Bill is singing his Christmas re-make! Duuhhhh. 😉
Merry Christmas Megan!!!
And yes, I had my hand raised. 🙂
I want a kringle. My hand was not raised, and I find this to be unacceptable…
Nope – I’ve never had kringle, but I think I need to.
I have never had kringle, but it looks delish! I wonder how many people actually raised their hands 😉 haha
It’s like my mom’s almond cookies. Christmas just ain’t right without them. I have not had Kringle…so are you going to post a recipe?
