I ran out of lettuce to make salad for lunch this week.
Don’t worry, I’ll be ok. You don’t need to alert the authorities.
I am also trying to pull back on the blood-letting that I’ve been inflicting on my wallet, so when I woke up yesterday morning I knew that I’d need to figure something else out.
Um…well, I had quinoa and vegetables…
Oooh, oooh, BACON! I’ll make bacon!
Besides the fact that we all know how I feel about bacon, I also figured that if I was going to actually go through the effort of cooking up a full meal before 8 am, I might as well put some bacon in it so as to fool my neighbors into thinking that the delicious aromas wafting out of my front door simply meant that I was making a special Tuesday breakfast…
These are the thoughts that occupy my brain in the early morning hours.
I’m a creep, I know.
The point is, I rinsed and cooked quinoa, fried up some bacon and sauteed a bunch of veggies for a lovely little warm salad to bring for lunch.
And all, like I said, before 8 am.
What is wrong with me?
And then I came home from work and decided that I wanted eggs.
That’s right, you guys. I came home and cooked breakfast at 8 PM. PEE EMM.
I suppose that isn’t to say that I didn’t actually put a little effort to make a decent dinner, but I did make eggs (in frittata form) and what were essentially home fries.
So apparently it’s opposite day around here.
I blame Tuesday.
I totally had eggs for dinner last night. On top of a baked (ok, microwaved) potato. It was delicious.
